Tweet the Expert

Professor Matt Griffin

Professor Matt Griffin, the lead scientist on the SPIRE instrument, will be taking part in the UK Space Agency's "Tweet the Expert" programme this afternoon (4th October 2012). Celebrating World Space Week, the UKSA (@spacegovuk) will be tweeting the answers to questions sent in between 3pm and 4pm BST. As well as leading the SPIRE instrument, Matt is currently Deputy Head of School and Director of Research at Cardiff University’s School of Physics and Astronomy. His research interests include far infrared and submillimetre astronomy and instrumentation, especially developing instruments for both ground-based and satellite-borne observatories.
